Easter Lavender Tablescape 2021

Easter is officially three weeks away, which means that one of my favorite times of year is upon us. There's something so refreshing about springtime entertaining, and Easter kicks off a fun and happy season filled with showers, Mother's Day celebrations, graduations, and more. With that in mind, Cristin Cooper and I met up at The Barnsley a few weeks ago to get a jump start on spring content, and let me tell you...we have some deeply fabulous tables in store for y'all! Today's is one of my favorites - a luscious, lilac Easter brunch that's full of special details to herald the start of a hopeful, new season.

The purple color palette was inspired by these fabulous vases from Beatriz Ball (paid partner), an absolutely fantastic resource for all things tabletop. They come in both faceted and smooth glass, and can be purchased as trios or individually. I found the vases a while ago and immediately envisioned a centerpiece with a ton of these beauties clustered in the middle of the table. I love that the shapes are all slightly different, and bud vases lend themselves perfectly to a deconstructed bouquet like this. It’s one of the easiest ways to arrange flowers: select blooms within a specific color palette and put each type in its own vase. It’s unique and you definitely DON’T need pricey flowers. While we used some roses and ranunculus, we also had mums, hypericum, and miniature daisies which are all inexpensive.

With the color scheme in place, I knew I also wanted to incorporate springtime motifs. Again, I turned to Beatriz Ball and fell in love with their Garden Cabbage collection. The organic design is perfect for spring/Easter without being too on the nose, and the pieces are a great match for my white cabbage plates (affiliate link) which I repurposed from Valentine’s Day. I used the Garden Cabbage Medium Bowl as well as the Garden Cabbage Tray with Dip Bowl to display the most amazing sweet treats from Flour & Flora (more on those below). The Jardin stemware reinforces my purple theme and also introduces a botanical element to the table, which we echo in the table linens.

I adore these India Amory napkins and placemats for the dimension they bring to the table (the print is "Mughal Jardin"). The linens include shades of lilac which complement all of the purple, but the blues, pinks, and greens are the dominant colors and bring some depth to the overall vignette. All-purple linens would look a bit flat, and even when you’re designing around one main color, you need to introduce a little variety. India Amory kindly gifted me these pieces, and while they’re currently sold out in this exact print, it always gets restocked (Mughal Jardin is currently available as a dress, makeup bag, and pareo). Of course, they have so many other gorgeous prints! To anchor everything, we used a lilac runner from Beatriz Ball.

I cannot let another moment pass without putting a spotlight on these unbelievable doughnuts and macarons from Flour & Flora (Insta: @Flour_and_Flora_). Jackie O’Bosky is the owner and artist behind this edible art and she’s such a talent. Based in Abilene, TX, Jackie ships her custom treats nationwide, all perfectly packaged and ready to go. Fittingly, textiles are her main source of inspiration, and for this table she based her designs on the India Amory linens. As you can see, she totally hit it out of the park. They were almost too pretty to eat!

There you have it! I really just love this charming table and hope it provides some inspiration as your holiday plans solidify. Spring is definitely in the air here in Nashville, and with the vaccine rollout fully underway, it feels like we're starting to turn a joyful corner. Hippity hop to it, y'all, and Happy Easter!
