Palm Beach Summer Tablescape 2021
I think we’re all ready to put winter firmly behind us, and in that spirit I’m moving full speed ahead into spring content. Believe it or not, we’re right around the corner from Easter and Passover (both are early this year) as well as bridal shower season, Mother’s Day, and more. This cheery vignette is great inspiration for all of those happy occasions, and until then, I hope it brings a little sunshine to your day!
I’ve recently discovered – and fallen in love with – D’Ascoli’s table linens. They really have something for everyone in terms of color and design, and I appreciate that the aesthetic feels really unique. You know I love to mix and match my linens, and these pieces have endless combinations and permutations. D’Ascoli kindly gifted me the tablecloth and napkins from the Laurel Canyon collection which I used on this table. I’m completely obsessed and the bright greens, blues, and yellows give me all the spring vibes.
With that color palette as my inspiration, I borrowed these incredible dinner plates from Corzine & Co. (my favorite place in Nashville to shop tabletop). The plates are from Ginori’s Oriente Italiano collection and come in a rainbow of pretty colors. (In case you’re wondering – yes, I was that lady who flew to Florida with fine china in my carryon.) In keeping with my “mix-and-match” approach to this table, I decided to use four plates in different shades: Iris, Citrino, Malachite, and Bario. The idea was to give a little nod to each color in the table linens and I love how it turned out.
Whenever I’m designing a table that includes several motifs, I follow two key principles for successful pattern play: 1) keep everything within a defined color palette, and 2) incorporate some neutral elements to break up the patterns and colors. On that note, I chose my go-to rattan chargers and bamboo flatware (similar here and here), two essentials that I recommend everyone have on hand. As for glassware, I was fortunate to borrow these high balls and matching pitcher from Amanda Lindroth – a big thank you to the gals at the Palm Beach store! These pieces are from the Island Wrapped Glassware collection and come in several pretty colors. I used the “natural” shade here to coordinate with the chargers and flatware.
The stunning centerpiece is from Renny & Reed – give them a follow for gorgeous floral inspiration. You literally cannot go wrong with a classic white and green arrangement; it always feels fresh and matches any décor. In fact, it’s a color palette I often request when sending flowers to clients, friends, or colleagues because it looks great in everyone’s home. Hyacinth, tulips, peonies….signs of spring, y’all!
