"Dig-In" Birthday with Momo Party Paper 2019

When my 3-year-old son asked for a "Garbage Truck Birthday Party" I knew I was in trouble. He specifically requested a real garbage truck, trash and a visit to the dump. I like to think I'm a very accommodating mom, especially when it comes to my kids' birthday parties, but I decided to draw the line on this one and overrule his request. Thankfully, it didn't take much convincing my almost four year old to go with a "Dig In" theme, highlighting ALL kinds of trucks instead of a trash theme. I wish I could take credit for coming up with this idea all on my own, but I had actually recently discovered Momo Party, and this was one of the many adorable and chic kids' party boxes they offer.

I just can't get enough of the one-stop-shop party suppliers, and Momo Party is officially one of my favorite vendors for this. I love that you can purchase one of their pre-packaged boxes OR choose your items a-la-carte. It's decor cuteness overload for all their themes! I was a little hesitant when I saw that the darling balloon garland would need to be assembled, but it comes with a pump and very easy instructions, and my sister and I put it together in less than 25 minutes. I may never buy a pre-made balloon garland again, this was so easy - assembled in the amount of time it would've taken to travel to and from the balloon store! (And for those who are still concerned, they offer a video tutorial on their website with step-by-step instructions!)

In addition to the balloon garland (including a massive dump truck balloon), they provided paper cups, napkins, plates, favor bags, a cupcake kit and decorative garland that all coordinated perfectly. These items all come with their "Dig In Box," but they also offer additional decor items for each theme that can be purchased a-la-carte, like the fun plastic construction hats. The only other items I purchased (not from Momo Party) were items for the favor bags and some plastic cone cups from Oriental Trading (as I didn't trust the really little kids with regular cups).As for the invitations, I emailed my girl Caroline of Sweet Caroline Designs, and sent her the link to the "Dig In" Momo Party Box for her to use as inspiration for the invitations. Of course she nailed the design, and I love them so much!

For the food and beverages, I kept things super simple and offered Chik-Fil-A nuggets, cheese puffs and pretzel sticks, which I styled in JA's trucks (he only owns about 50 to chose from- ha!). The party started at 3pm, so I didn't need to offer a full meal for everyone, but kids snack a LOT so this was just enough to keep them happy but not overdo it.

The cupcakes are from a box (of course) and the fabulous cake is from Copper Whisk Cakes, one of my Nashville go-to bakers.In addition to the cupcakes and cake (because you can never have too many sweets, right?), I ordered custom cookies from Summer's Sweet Shop, that were also a huge hit with the kids and adults.

As for "entertainment," I used It's Time 2 Bounce because they offered the best selection of bounce houses, including a giant skid loader, which was perfect for our theme. I also booked a waterslide bounce house since it was about 90 degrees during the party, and I didn't want any of the kids overheating. (The adults all hung-out inside or under the shade of our trees).

Last but not least, thanks to a great friend, we "borrowed" a real digger that was available for kids to take their pictures in and provided quite the welcome decoration to the party. Overall it was a perfect party, and we had the best time celebrating our little man turning four!Vendor List:
