Easter Tablescape with Hester & Cook 2024

When I saw the 2024 Easter Collection from Hester & Cook, I was immediately drawn to their cheery daffodil designs. Daffodils are some of my favorite flowers, and I absolutely adore the purple accents, baskets and bows included in the collection. I’ve always loved the color yellow, but rarely have I paired it with anything purple. I also love that this collection works for Easter, but it could also be used for bridal luncheons, baby showers or spring luncheons. It’s a fun departure from the traditional bunny designs. There were two placemat options to choose from, but I chose this flower-filled die-cut wicker basket option, as I have a love-affair with all things wicker. The other fabulous placemat option can be found here, and you can find the coordinating napkins here and place cards here.

When working with Hester & Cook paper products, I typically bring in non-paper dishes, glassware and flatware. I used my own collection of cabbageware for the dinner and salad plates, which you can find here and here. The green salad plates tied in with the H&C dark green classic stripe runner, which I own in multiple colorways. Their paper table runners are a go-to when it comes to covering a table with pattern and color, not to mention, the clean-up is a breeze as you can throw it all away after your event. I like to use the runner horizontally and vertically on my porch dining table, and the green contrasted perfectly against all the yellow daffodils.

Let’s talk about the flowers shall we? Daffodils are some of the most affordable flowers to use for arrangements, especially when you grown them in your own yard like I do. However, I knew I wanted a LOT of them for my centerpiece, and I loved the idea of including different varietals to give it extra dimension. Thus, I brought in Lillian’s Floral Studio to create a “field of flowers” running down the center of the table, and they did a beautiful job bringing my idea to life. I love how all the daffodils look when clustered together. They are such fun and whimsical flowers that of course pairs perfectly with the H&C daffodil paper products.

To tie in with the yellow/marigold accents on the table, I used my favorite glasses from H&C in a new color (for me). The Rialto tulip and old fashioned glasses in saffron were the perfect addition to this colorful tablescape. I love all the colored Rialto glasses that H&C offers, and I’m starting to build up quite the collection, as they definitely “jazz up” any tablescape. I have a blast styling tables with the various colors.

I thought I should add in at least one “typical nod to Easter” on the table, so I sourced these beautiful hand-painted purple eggs from Etsy. You can find them here, and we tied them to a small bunch of daffodils at each place setting for guests to take home as a favor. In keeping with the natural elements on the table, I used the bamboo flatware from my collection with Southern Living x Dillards, that you can still purchase here. This flatware is on rotation year-round on tables in my home.

I hope this table inspires you and that you have a wonderful Easter holiday with your family and friends!
