Thanksgiving Tablescape 2019

It seems like over the years, Thanksgiving has become more and more of an afterthought. As retail stores transition their merchandise and decor from Halloween straight to Christmas, there's almost no mention of one of my favorite holidays- Thanksgiving. As you probably know by now, I don't cook, so why would I care so much about a holiday that centers around a massive (and oftentimes homemade) meal? Well, the answer is, that for our family, it's wonderful time spent together without the added "distraction" of gifts and countless other parties surrounding it. Thanksgiving is truly about remembering all we have to be thankful for and simply enjoying a fabulous meal together. Good food, good company and time to slow down from the busy schedules and day-to-day tasks we all get bogged down in. Oh, and there's usually a great football game and fire crackling in the fireplace in our house following the meal. How could you ever want to rush by this holiday?!?Okay, now that we've got the details of WHAT to eat covered (see my previous post on delegating Thanksgiving dinner here), let's talk about the part I actually enjoy: styling and setting the dinner (or lunch) table. I adore a fabulous tablescape, and so it was a true pleasure to work with Cristin Cooper this year on several decor options for a Thanksgiving table. We styled two tables- one more casual and one more formal, and I will share the sources for those two tables with you below. There was no "DIY-ing" involved, and we mixed rental items with new pieces to show variety and how you can mix the new with the old to create two beautiful and memorable tables. You can read the FULL download on these tables on StyleBlueprint who featured our fall tablescape collaboration here. But I wanted to make it easy for you to source everything, so below are images from the shoot (all done by the fabulous Evin Photography) along with a list of where you can find the goodies! Happy Turkey-Day Y'all!
